Richard “Dick” Eddy

Fundamental Analyst, Partner, CFP, CPA

Dick has an unparalleled passion for finance.

Dick holds a BA from Marietta College (Ohio), an Industrial Engineering Degree from Ohio University School of Engineering, and an MBA from East Tennessee State University.  He is registered as a CPA, Certified Financial Planner, and holds designation as a Personal Financial Specialists (PFS) through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  He is a member of both the AICPA and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.

What makes Dick a great leader is his background in education.  A two week consulting project for Tusculum College turned into a fifteen year teaching endeavor.  During this time, he designed and implemented a entrepreneurship program, and taught courses in finance, investing, taxation, and accounting.  His investment class was one of the first in the nation to involve the use of computer brokerage firm through a project with Reuters.  With these responsibilities he was recognized by the college, receiving the outstanding faculty award three times!  In addition, during this time he was running an accounting firm in Johnson City, TN.

Through the years, Dick has expanded upon his love for education and has sharpened his abilities in stock selection.  His main role here at Financial Leadership is compiling research and implementing fundamental analysis to the stock selections for our clients.

Austin has displayed leadership through many areas of service.  Growing up in East Tennessee and being raised around “Southern Hospitality” he has a true feel for what it means to serve.  Austin has a BS in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University, graduating with a 3.95 GPA.  During his time at ETSU he was on the Dean’s List all 8 semesters, awarded the College of Education’s Most Outstanding Student Award, and the Faculty Award for his academic excellence.  Although his passion is now directed toward Finance, he carries those same qualities that helped him succeed in previous endeavors.  Mike Rowe once said, “Never follow your passion, but ALWAYS take it with you.”  That is exactly what he has done here at Financial Leadership.
